How to Perform Front Kick “Mae Geri”

Please follow the steps below;

  1. Position yourself in left or right “Moto Dachi Chudan Gamae
  2. Begin by bringing your knee up and forward
  3. Once your leg is up in the air, it’s time for the kick
  4. Snap the leg forward at your target, while rolling your hips forward and hit with Ball of the  foot or “Josokutei”
  5. Pull the leg and hip back to the position in Step 2
  6. Drop your leg back down to your original position (left or right Moto Dachi Chudan Gamae)
