The General Incorporated Association All Japan Karatedo Federation Shitokai shall handle personal information and portrait rights obtained in connection with the operation of its activities as set forth below.
1. Handling of Personal Information
(1) Purposes of Use
Personal information collected in connection with the operation of the Association’s activities shall be used for purposes such as sending notices and other communications, confirming matters subject to inquiry, inclusion in meeting materials and other documents, and promoting and raising awareness of sport. Such information shall not be used for any purposes other than those stated above.
In addition, personal information provided through inquiries or applications submitted via this website shall be used solely for responding to such inquiries and for operations relating to the Association’s partners.
(2) Scope and Methods of Publication
Among the personal information collected, information necessary to identify an individual and their affiliation, including prefecture of affiliation, name, gender, age, school name, and team name, may be published by the following means:
a) Inclusion in participant lists and similar documents
b) Inclusion in publications produced by the Association, including the Shitokai Bulletin
c) Publication on the Association’s website, the Shitokai website, and similar media
(3) Competition Results and Records
Competition results and records may be published together with the personal information specified in Section 1, Paragraph (2), by the following means:
a) Inclusion in public relations reports and other materials, including the Association’s publications and the Shitokai Bulletin
b) Publication on the Association’s website, the Shitokai website, and similar media, including social media
2.Handling of Portrait Rights
(1) Photographs
Photographs taken by officers and other persons involved in the operation of the Association’s activities may be published in publications, newspapers, various reports, or on the Internet.
(2) Video Footage
Video footage recorded by officers and other persons involved in the operation of the Association’s activities may be distributed over the Internet.
Such footage may also be edited and distributed on DVDs or similar media, or presented or published at meetings, training sessions, on websites, or through other media.
3.Procedures
(1) Confirmation of Consent
Upon submission of the documents required to participate in activities operated by Shitokai, the participant shall be deemed to have consented to the handling of personal information and portrait rights as described above.
(2) Provision of Information to the Media
Where the provision of information is deemed to contribute to the promotion, development, or public awareness of sport, such information may be provided to media organizations in accordance with the handling procedures described above.
